This year I was so pleased to have a read down the New Year Honours List 2016 and see so many names listed that are involved in the law, order and justice of the country. Check out the full list here.
Plus one person that is listed is a Judge that I have undertaken marshalling with. HHJ Baker from St, Albans’ Crown Court and I know that lots of University of Hertfordshire student’s have marshalled with him.
The press release was:
Law and order
In law and order, the awards include a CBE for Timothy Dutton QC, Recorder and Deputy High Court Judge; and a CBE for Christopher Stephens, Chairman of the Judicial Appointments Commission. The recommendations for state servants include a KCB for Robert Devereux, Permanent Secretary at DWP; a DCB for Lin Homer, Chief Executive of HMRC; and a knighthood for Jon Day, lately Chair of the Joint Intelligence Committee.
However there were a lot more legal and parliamentary names on the list.
Do check it out, and it is amazing to see Timothy Dutton QC on the list and you can read more about Timothy and his practice at Fountain Court here.
