Day 4 #janlawblogpost

So today’s strange law is from right here in the UK!  There are lots of “strange UK law” news articles and then other articles writing if these strange laws are true or false…

Well today’s strange law is true!

There is a law in England to make Easter Day a fixed day in the calendar.

This law is The Easter Act 1928 and the law is to make Easter Sunday the second Sunday in April.  This law was successfully passed, it just has never been enforced.

And to prove it is true…

So what do people think, should this law be enforced?  Would it make things easier for schools, businesses, holidays?
