Book – Group – How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life

Wow, if you add one book to your reading list for 2021 do make it this! I read this in two nights, and just couldn’t put it down.

Now I always have been a ferocious reader, even when I was little.. I guess that helps, when pursuing a career in law.  It’s safe to say though that I do have to remind myself to read fiction and non-fiction that isn’t for work/career purposes.

This was perfect for that, I was gripped from page 1 and just desperate to find out how things progressed.  If I am honest, part of my wanted to jump to the end and read that but I refrained.

The challenges and ‘prescriptions’ Christie is given in this book, really make you think about your own life and how you would fair doing those things, or what could you do to challenge yourself or get out of a rut.  Something I feel maybe we all need after a year of lockdown and our worlds being turned upside down.

I felt very drawn to various people and scenarios in the book, and could resonate with many of the situations, but even those that didn’t feel quite so close to home – I felt drawn to follow and see through, and was willing them on in their everyday battles!

Links to the book below if you fancy it… I don’t want to give too much away, just do add it to your reading list.  And if you need any further encouragement to check it out, then Christie was a lawyer!

Happy Reading!
