I am so so excited because I am heading to the Middle Temple Advocacy Weekend on 27th-29th November 2015!
So I don’t have a very long time to wait. There are three during the year and they are heavily over-subscribed so I am so pleased to be going. I know that I will learn an awful lot from both the barristers and judges, and hopefully the other students (as the full time students attending have covered more advocacy sessions on the BPTC than me) – so hopefully I can pick up some useful tips.
I have to wait a few days to get my bundle so I can have a quick glance over the materials before the weekend – but I have heard that there are some very good barrister/judge led sessions as well.
It is in a brilliant location, Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park, and some students (if they are randomly selected as not everyone can go) get the opportunity to attend St George’s Chapel, Windsor, and very often the Queen is there. I am definitely putting my name down to attend on the Sunday morning, but if not then I will just enjoy the hour and have a walk around the Park instead (weather permitting!).
I will definitely keep you posted as I am excited, so expect lots of blog posts over the coming weeks.
