Apparently it is against federal law for someone to tamper with the smoke detectors in aeroplane toilets and you can be subject to a $2000 fine!
Though I have been told that they don’t stipulate what laws you are breaking or the punishment/fine if you are caught smoking (either normal or ecigarettes) in the toilets!
