Diary of a part time BPTC student… Part 4

I had a second qualifying session this week which was good! It was a lecture all about the Press and before it started I ended up sitting next to a girl and we both realised we were part time BPTC Students at BPP.  It is really nice chatting to someone else that works and studies and has to fit all of this extra-curricular work in!

However it wasn’t until after the lecture and we were talking some more that we realised that I’m a first year and she is a second year – we just hadn’t thought to ask before that!

It is really nice knowing other people at different stages and we ended up chatting for ages and exchanging details – plus we both realised that we want to go to a Middle Temple Sunday Roast so might head along together.

So after the lecture it was announced that the 3 person ruled applied before you left the networking, I was somewhat dubious and anxious about talking to 3 complete strangers but any time I have been to these events (or other legal ones) it does get easier and I just wing it and get on with it – plus you need to do this for being a barrister!

As it turns out j ended up talking to some lovely people and also the canapés at the event were amazing – and very much the sort of things I could eat (cocktail sausages, chips etc etc).

It was also nice as Big Voice London had some students come along to the lecture and it was nice to have a chat to students who are considering careers in law.

I am still working hard prepping for my second month of classes at BPP!

See you next week.
