Ryan Adams – trainee solicitor and member of the ABAE

I saw this news story on twitter and loved reading about it, especially as Ryan Adams is a first seat trainee at hlw Keeble Hawson.  For those of you that don’t know the ABAE is the Amateur Boxing Association of England and Ryan has been appointed as a member of the HR, Legal and Compliance Sub-Committee.

As I mentioned above Ryan is a first seat trainee and still has 19 months left of his Training Contract to go (not that he is counting!) his role with the ABAE will see him work with fellow committee members to advise the ABAE on matters including child protection, safeguarding and other legal issues.   These are all extremely important topics and ones which are being more and more necessary/significant in this day and age for sports and youth work programmes alike.

It is an extremely important role, and one that I can’t wait to hear more about.

The article I was linked to was http://www.yorkshirebusinessdaily.co.uk/2015/01/05/trainee-solicitor-boxes-clever-prestigious-appointment/ so feel free to check that out for more information.

Sports law is becoming more and more popular especially amongst younger lawyers and it is great to see someone getting involved with something like this!

If you want more info I am sure you can contact Ryan on his twitter @Ryan__Adams

There are so many aspiring lawyers or those that have Training Contracts/Pupillages that are working so hard and also doing something different  which is really inspiring but also shows the time and commitment they are willing to put in not only for their career but to do something that benefits others.  Definitely very motivating and encouraging!  I honestly can’t wait to see where these people take their careers as well as the side projects they passionately work on.
