Rising Star Law Award<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Rising Star Awards (something I had not really heard about before) acknowledge people who they deem are\u00a0doing amazing things in their sector. \u00a0I am named\u00a0alongside some remarkable women in the legal sector (which is an honour in itself). \u00a0Please check out everyone that has been\u00a0nominated in the legal shortlist\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sponsoring the law award is\u00a0Reed Smith LLP, and it\u00a0is in memory of the remarkable Lynne Freeman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I still can’t\u00a0quite believe it. Not\u00a0only have I been nominated by someone, but I have\u00a0been shortlisted by a panel of judges.<\/p>\n

The process of the Rising Star Law Award<\/span><\/h2>\n

So as mentioned above, I had never heard of the Rising Star Awards. \u00a0I had however heard of We Are The City and the work that they do.<\/p>\n

Quite few months\u00a0ago I received an email from We Are The City\/Rising Star saying someone had nominated me for an award in the legal sector. \u00a0I filled\u00a0out a form with some more information and had to wait to see if the\u00a0judges would\u00a0shortlist me.<\/p>\n

As always\u00a0I never\u00a0expect to be shortlisted, and I am still shocked someone has taken the time to nominate me. Then on Monday, I was walking around The Justice Museum<\/a> in Nottingham (being a law geek) and my phone notifications\u00a0went crazy.<\/p>\n

It was\u00a0via twitter that I realised I had\u00a0been shortlisted for the law awards. \u00a0There is a public vote for some of it and I would appreciate your support.<\/p>\n
