{"id":2344,"date":"2016-01-06T08:22:13","date_gmt":"2016-01-06T08:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lawyerinthemaking.co.uk\/?p=2344"},"modified":"2016-01-06T17:25:45","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T17:25:45","slug":"birkbeck-law-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lawyerinthemaking.co.uk\/index.php\/2016\/01\/06\/birkbeck-law-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Birkbeck Law Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I found out about the Birkbeck Law Review through a law student I know via Twitter and we are know on each other&#8217;s facebooks! \u00a0Ian (who you may remember from my #LITMqanda series) shared a link to an article he had written for the Birkbeck Law Review and so I started to follow that!<\/p>\n<p>The Birkbeck Law Review is an independent publication managed and run by students from Birkbeck, University of London. They\u00a0publish thought-provoking articles written by students, professors and legal practitioners in a biannual volume (and you don&#8217;t have to go to Birkbeck to submit an article for consideration).<\/p>\n<p>They\u00a0have been\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbklr.org\/blog\/birkbeck-law-review-referenced-in-supreme-court-ruling\">cited by the UK Supreme Court<\/a>, published academics from around the globe, and remain committed to promoting student ability at all stages of legal education.\u00a0In early 2015 the editorial board was the proud recipient of Birkbeck&#8217;s\u00a0Prize for Contribution to the Life of the School of Law. \u00a0Their\u00a0first conference, in collaboration with Birkbeck&#8217;s ILSA Chapter, won the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilsa.org\/membership\/ilsa-chapters\/22-membership\/33-chapter-awards\">ILSA Chapter Award for\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilsa.org\/membership\/ilsa-chapters\/22-membership\/33-chapter-awards\">Best Academic International Event<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So, their previous editions are worth checking out, and if the Supreme Court is citing you, you know you are doing a good job &#8211; so make sure you head on over to their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbklr.org\">website<\/a>\u00a0and have a read!<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca x<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I found out about the Birkbeck Law Review through a law student I know via Twitter and we are know on each other&#8217;s facebooks! \u00a0Ian (who you may remember from my #LITMqanda series) shared a link to an article he had written for the Birkbeck Law Review and so I started to follow that!
