YouTube | Where have I been?

Where have I been?

So, where have I been? Here, there and everywhere it feels like.  But, I’m not talking about destinations in this post, I have been so quiet over on YouTube and I wanted to let you know that’s all about to change.

I filmed this quick video to explain where I have been, and what you can expect going forward!

What can you expect on my Lawyer In The Making YouTube channel?

If you watch my video you will see that I do want to keep the content tailored to both audiences.  So content for law students, but also content for lawyers and those working in the legal profession.  I am hoping that some videos will sit nicely between the two, but I am also very aware that not all the content will do that.

What can you do?

So of course I would love it if you subscribe to my YouTube channel, it just means that you will never miss a video!  You can subscribe by going onto my YouTube and hitting the subscribe button.  Equally, likes and comments are always appreciated on my videos.  Plus if you like what you see on my YouTube channel, then share a link from it to social media or with people you think will like it.

More important than that though, I would love to know what you want me to film and share.  I have a big list of topics and things I want to talk about and share, and this list I have generated myself and from conversations an discussions with people in person and online – but, I want to know what you want!

So make sure that you send me messages on social media, that you comment on my videos or that you email me with what you want.

I want to be producing content that is of interest to you, but also a benefit – so what do you want to see or learn about?

Lawyer In The Making is heading to Hong Kong

If you follow me on twitter or have liked my Facebook Page, then you will have just seen that I have announced that I have rebooked my trip to Hong Kong!

I was meant to go earlier in the year, but was unable to do so, so I am very excited to have managed to squeeze in a quick trip for work before 2016 is out.

Why Hong kong?

I have been approached by a few people to pop out and chat about work, plus as you know I am such a law geek, so I plan to visit some Universities and courts, and also attend some legal events (as well as sight see, and admire the beautiful Hong Kong Skyline *photo was taken from google*)

I can’t share too much about the work I may or may not be doing right now but what I can tell you is that I will be visiting the Hong Kong Bar Association and the Hong Kong Law Society whilst I am there.  There will be diary entry posts when I am in Hong Kong and of course I will be tweeting and sharing photos on Facebook and Instagram too.  So if you aren’t following me on these platforms now is the time to do so.

I will also be visiting a couple of courts (yes I am that much of a law geek), and will definitely be sitting in on 2 sessions at the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal, and I am fortunate that there is a criminal and civil procedure matter happening whilst I am over there.  I am also looking forward to visiting the High Court and the Competition Tribunal.

I am really excited to be heading to Hong Kong and to be going for work stills feels extremely surreal.  This year has felt like I have taken Lawyer In The Making and my digital marketing consultancy business on tour!

Thank you for your continued support of my blog, encouraging law students and prospective students on pursuing a legal career, and supporting lawyers with their digital marketing would never have happened if it wasn’t for your support!

Have you been to Hong Kong? Do you work or study there? Maybe you have some sight seeing recommendations? Let me know!

Amazon Prime Day – 12th July 2016

I am super excited for Amazon Prime Day.  As many of you may know I do love Amazon whether I am buying university books, DVDs (yes I do love watching a box set the traditional way) or anything my sisters or family need.

I have been fortunate enough to have Amazon Prime for the last year and it is great having next day delivery – for any of you that do use Amazon you will know that normal delivery is really good anyways.

Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day

This isn’t a sponsored and I have not been asked to say anything about Amazon, but they do have some great deals on brand new products, even law textbooks and crime TV dramas (I always buy everything brand new) and there is a never a problem.

If you have been watching TV over the last few weeks you will know that Amazon Prime Day is taking place next week, on the 12th July 2016, there are going to be some amazing deals and discounts and it is worth checking out.

Plus Amazon Prime does let you have a 30 day free trial, just remember to cancel before the time frame runs out.

Check out any of the links above to access Amazon Prime and if you do want the 30 day free trial do check it out, it might be handy for ordering university textbooks etc.  Especially if you happen to want to make a head start on any reading you need to do or just want to be super organised (subject to your University issuing you reading lists already!).

The 30 day trial is year round, so you could always start in September if you prefer.

Rumour has it that their Amazon Prime Day is going to be amazing, with some great discounts and I will definitely be checking them out.  Do make sure you check it out on the 12th July.
